5 of the Most Memorable Uppercuts in History

The old days of Sega Genesis Mortal Combat and Street Fighter uppercuts knocking the opponent into the screen above have slowly came to an end. The two games have created the game on newer consoles like the Wii, XBOX 360 and PS3 however they haven’t had a huge success as they did in the past with less gaming platforms were available. The games have been redone with better fatalities and even created a Mortal Combat VS DC Universe.
But, it is time to turn back to reality. The reality of waking up not knowing where you are, how you got there and wondering why people keep hovering over you in your face trying to ask first grade questions. There is a brief insight into what it feels like to wake up from being knocked out, here are some of the top uppercuts in boxing and MMA throughout history.

5. This boxer puts the uppercut – TO HIMSELF!

4. Paul Williams VS Winky Wright

Now we only included this because to reach all the way under and around an opponent and ACTUALLY land the uppercut, you make the list Mr. Williams.

3. Mike Tyson VS James “Buster” Douglas

Tokyo 1990. This fight is full of uppercuts, I’m suprised that neither one of these guys got knocked out sooner!

2. Jeremy Stephens KTFO Rafeal dos Anjos in UFC 91.

1. Anderson Silva, an Elbow Uppercut

Lets just say, this guy didn’t even know what hit him. The opponent tries to get up but just cannot find his legs. This uppercut earns the #1 spot in the top 5 Uppercuts of all time.

Now that you have seen some of the top ranked uppercuts in history, leave a comment if you think you have one that tops this list.
