With the 2011 NFL Playoffs in full swing, we at Crazy Amigo decided to take a look at the top 10 NFL stadiums currently standing. When most people think of the loudest football stadiums/teams in the NFL, teams like the San Francisco 49ers usually don’t come mind. Instead, we think of teams like the Seattle Seahawks at Quest field and the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Whether you attribute all the noise to the intensity of the fanbase or to the design of the stadium, there is no question these 10 stadiums make it tough for any visiting team. While teams who play in domes are usually considered to have the loudest stadiums, there are other considerable factors we used to determine the loudest stadiums including average attendance, decibel level, and the amount of forced false starts.
So whether you’re gearing up for betting on the Superbowl at BETUS or are just watching the game with some friends around the house, it will be insteresting to see how these top 10 loudest stadiums play a roll in the rest of the playoffs. Check out the 10 videos below and to see these ear pounding stadiums in action.
10. Washington Redskins @ FedEx Field
This video is a great example of why FedEx field has been documented around the league by both
players and fans as a stadium with an amazingly loud atmosphere.9. Atlanta Falcons @ Georgia Dome
As the first dome stadium on our list, the Falcon’s stadium had been reported to reach decibel levels of 117.9. As a comparison, a 747 Boeing airplace hits just above that at 130 decibels.
8. Green Bay Packers @ Lambeau Field
Lambeau Field will forever be know around the league as one of the wildest outdoor environments for teams to play in. Whether it’s the high average attendance rate this stadium receives or all the cheese these fans eat, it’s no doubt that Lambeau Field is one of the loudest in the league.
7. New England Patriots @ Gillette Stadium
Gillette Stadium has been well documented throughout the years as an extremely loud stadium. With a combination of a season-after-season winning record and the playing of “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC as a regular occurrence, it’s no wonder these fans are pumped up.
6. Dallas Cowboys @ Cowboys Stadium
87,000 fans at your average game this season + Dome = REALLY LOUD. Enough said.
5. New Orleans Saints @ Louisiana Superdome
We can attribute this stadium on the list because of the following trifecta: a recent Superbowl win, a high scoring offence, and one hell of a party town.
4. Indianapolis Colts @ Lucas Oil Stadium
With Peyton Manning throwing so many touchdowns every year, it’s no surprise this place is constantly erupting.
3. Minnesota Vikings @ Vikings Stadium
As yet another dome on the list, the Minnesota Viking’s Metrodome is another stadium players and fans tend to agree on as one of the loudest in the league.
2. Kansas City Chiefs @ Arrowhead Stadium
These next two stadiums were very tough to rank and I cannot argue that many fans, players, and coaches around the league consider Arrowhead Stadium to be the loudest stadium in the entire NFL. And with recent success in the 2010 season, this place is guaranteed to make it a tough day for any visiting team.
1. Seattle Seahawks @ Quest Field
With a huge recent win over the New Orleans Saints in the 2011 Wild Card playoff round, many people can attribute that to home field advantage in the loudest stadium in the league. Quest Field has been known to regularly hit above the 100′s with regards to the decibel level and rumor has it, this place has recorded the loudest decibel level ever in an NFL stadium. Last week, it was reported that Marshawn Lynch’s touchdown run was actually recorded on the Reictor scale for roughly 13.5 seconds… DAMN.
